Donation of the 1953 GP7 Locomotive by Al and Barbara Side
 

When we first looked into acquiring this engine, it was still being used by the Side Group and
unavailable. Some years later, we discovered the locomotive was destined to be decommissioned. At that point, a meeting with the Side Group resulted in their donating the engine to us.
 

Jeremy Walker, President of Devco Developments, (A Side Group Company), became an integral member of our dedicated group of community members and businesses to complete this project, a portion of which was the extension of the side rail at our Historic Train Station in Sexsmith.
 

The donation was an extremely generous one and we are more than grateful to Al and Barb Side, Devco Developments, and Jeremey Walker, for their donation, involvement and assistance in completing our project.
